Anyone know where 007 is the code for
I had a missed call the number starts
007099 007 is "Russian Federation" on the BT website but 099 is not in the list of areas within 007. Link Sorry posted in Mobile Telephony by mistake |

Sounds like a masked number for a telesales firm then. Chances are it doesn't actually exist.

The most likely explanation is that it's a fake caller id from some dodgy telesales outfit. Just ignore it.
(must type faster)... There is another possibility. All 0xx codes in Russia were supposed to be changed to 4xx last year, so it might be a 499 area switch still showing an old ID. According to this site:- http://www.wtng.info/wtng-7-ru.html the Moscow 095 area was split into 095 (aka 495) and 099 (aka 499) some time ago. Do you know anyone in Moscow? |
