I'd disown him too.

and given a written certificate of immunity from prosecution I'd hapilly beat him with a hammer. My god I've never been so embarased to be scottish before. Even when Tommy Sheridan was doing his insane socialist protest nonsence it was better than having this over the top, over acting, attention seeking freak in every news paper you can see...

See that's just pathetic. If you're gay fine, don't make a mockery of it or attempt to turn it into something comical which may just embarass fellow gays, friends and family.

High heels to school I ask ya.

On the other hand, would you have contemplated bringing home your girlfriend and having full on sex on the carpet in front of your Mum and Dad???? Shahbaz decided to embarrass his folks in this extreme way, so publicly. As I say, i can't defend what his father did, but for sure he must have expected a blo*dy good hiding at the very least.

I wore nail varnish to school once and got spat on by some bullys

Looking back it was a stupid thing for me to do but I was just attention seeking.

a good slap is different from a hammer!!

I personally I don't agree with either, but still if adults can be humiliated by kids, how pathetic does that make them?

Wearing high-heels to school isn't all that extreme. I went to school with somebody whom did the same thing - and also wore necklaces made out of Barbie heads and used copious amounts of make-up. I don't recall his family ever beating him with a hammer.

Kids will always rebel against their parents in one way or another - even if it's just smoking in secret.

Mozza theres a difference in the catholic religion about commiting and sin and in the muslim religion. In the catholic religion you have some sex before marrige you can go to confession, get forgivness, try not to do it again.

In the muslem religion if your gay your a shame on your family and they arn't supposed to have any contact with you. I dont think there are any religions which are gay friendly, I'm pretty sure they all are supposed to be anti-gay.

Catholisism preaches that sex is for pro-creation and not recration so even if you dont belive the "lying with another man" bit of the bible, gay men can't pro-create so shouldn't have sex. I think the Catholic church lets you be gay, just as long as you dont act on the sinful feelings.

Not sure exactly what the muslim religions says about gays but they're a fair bit stricter. Where the Catholic religion will care for the families of people who may have been shamed, in many religions if you bring shame on yourself...it's reflected on to your family, considered they didn't raise you right or something.

My personal opinion, I dont care if anyones gay...go for it and my best wishes....I just hate camp people....I've known too many, it's always an act and it's always very very very annoying, over the top, attention seeking, covering up for something, throwing themselves in everyones face and no need for it at all.

You've hit the nail on the head, I think Shahbaz is the biggest attention seeker I've ever seen on BB........quite rare for someone of his age.

When people are severely repressed as children, they tend to over-compensate in later adult life. This doesn't just apply to being gay, it could apply to anything... A shopping-addiction; over-eating; slutting about...

Any good muslim will tell you that it is a peaceful religion.

Poor chap, but after last night's performance, I still think BB should disown him too.

Well it makes me wonder what happened to the people who are posting heartless comments when they were kids!!

Don't know about the rest of you, but I have had a great upbringing and it has made me the type of person who is sypathetic, caring and likes people generally!

I think the reason why some people get offended or outraged by people like Shahbaz is because they are embarrassed and even if they don't see any wrong in their behaviour they have to be seen to be outraged to keep up with the pack.

Well, we are told on a daily basis, by people in power, that we sould be more tolerant of others' religious beliefs, but why does this very sad story not surprise me?

I wonder if Shahbaz's father was showing his idea of 'tolerance' when he was hammering his son for going against his own beliefs.

While something like this is considered acceptable behaviour in some Muslim countries, I'm afraid all it does to me is show how lucky we are that it's not accepted here and NEVER SHOULD BE, no matter how 'tolerant' we are told we should be. If people want to behave in this way, I honestly believe they should stay somewhere where these barbaric acts are accepted as a way of life.

I get offended and outraged by people like Shabaz because I think it's all over the top, it's an act and he's extremely annoying. I dont care if he's gay, straight, muslim, catholic, whatever. He's on my TV, he's representing my city and he's very annoying, very embarassing and he's making what was one my favourite TV show virtually unbarable to watch.

I'm glad you answered Mozza. I had a feeling that I'd be accused of racism, which would be completely ridiculous, so I'm relieved that you feel the same way.
