Is the Sony dvps336 a good dvd player? So far i have read some good things about it what do think?

I have had the Sony 336 (chipped from Techtronics) for five months and its been great. Played R1 & 2 no problem.

Same here, i've had mine 5 months.
Modified by Upgrade Heaven(Leeds) and it works a dream, every disc thrown at it...no problem! Go for it, you won't be sorry! |

THey are good machines but if you have the budget you should go for the 535 or even better 735. My 725 is excellent!!

Another thumbs up for Sony!!
I used to have an Aiwa XD-DV290 but had problems with Gladiator disc 2 and Toy Story disc 3.
I exchanged it at the weekend for the Sony S535 and found it to be a vastly superoior machine in terms of performance, looks and usability - try and get one of those if the budget will stretch

I have a Sony 735, and find it to be the best DVD player I've ever used. All Sony's DVD players are excellent. As far as the 335 and 535. as far as I'm aware the only real difference between the 2 machines is the 535 has an inbuilt Dolby Digital Decoder, which is harder to use than a stand alone amp. So in my opinnion the best bet is either go for the 335, or if possible make the strtch to the 735.
