mp3 (pc) to minidisc (hifi)
i want to copy some music from my pc to me sony minidisc hifi.
the problem is i dont want to spend £44 on the proper sony pc link kit. (im a student after all) is there ne way i could copy them over easier, and cheaper? my hifi inputs are: an digital optical input, and video(audio) L+R. thanks in advance.

If your PC has phono outputs, you can simply link it up to the phono inputs on your stereo and set it to record from that. If it doesn't I personally can't help you because I'm not a minidisk sort of person, but someone probably will be able to

You want a 3mm Jack which goes in your Line-Out to 2xPhono which go in your Rec-In on your Hi-Fi. You can get teh cable for about £5 from any good hi-fi shop.
There is a program called MP3-Minidisc which you put the MP3's in the playlist, and it adds the appropriate gaps in-between songs, so your hi-fi can get the tracks right. It also tells you if you go over the standard length of a mini-disc |
