Any thoughts on the new album which was released yesterday. I think it is the best since Very in 1993. My favourite tracks are Integral, Minimal and Casanova in Hell. The remix album is also quite good. There is a great version on In Private with Elton John.

Mine turned up today, damn you amazon but they had the special edition mis-priced at £8.99

just ripped it to my MP3 player for my walk to work tomorrow

I've bought every PSB album since Please on the day of release and each one is still a gem

I just wish the boys had released a different first single. I think 8 of the tracks on the album are better than I'm With Stupid.

Start with the popular one, remember they've not been about for a while and ppl forget who they are

Get Matt Lucas & David Walliams in the video and all is restored

Good point. I hope the album does well it certainly deserves to. I am glad they are releasing Minimal next.

The album will do "well" because if the incredibly loyal fanbase

We've spent 20 years buying each album, we're not about to stop now

Hey I even bought It Couldn't Happen Here (and all this time later I still have no clue what is going on)

Well I'm the same it's like the inferno at a carpet warehouse, you just can't stop looking

Actually I'm sure there's a questions section on the website, I might e-mail in and ask what the films about

Also I love neil Tennants recent rants on the pop/rock debate, he's well on his way to a guest spot on the next series of Grumpy Old Men

I'm the same...first day of release and I'm at HMV on the way to work ! Loving Fundamental but can't understand why Fugitive was only included on Fundamentalism. It's a fantastic track and no more political than Integral .

I've just realised I might not have bought Please, I was only 13 but I probably asked my mum to get it for me

I wonder what I thought West End Girls was about at 13 ??

I agree I think Fugitive is wasted on a remix album.

Isn't that what makes the Pet Shop Boys special, they create a gem of a track and only make it available to fans

Johnny £9.77 album-from-Tescos won't be buying the special edition

Yes I suppose you are right. They have made some wonderful b-sides.

haven't bought a PSB album for years - not so keen on the euro disco phase they went through. am keen to hear this one tho' after hearing reviews - but agree that i'm with stupid isn't that great - expected a bit more for a first single from the ubiquitous return to form album.

Well I've listened to the album now and it is a stunner, easily their best for years (although I liked Release)

Neil's voice sounds a lot stronger than it did on the last album

Soddom and Gomarrah is so typically Pet Shop Boys,
Numb got a bit of stick in the reviews but I like it
I made my excuses and left
Casanova in hell

I know you asked for 1 but I just can't do it

I agree about Numb. It has been slated in the press but I think it is a great track.

Yes, I mananged to stay up to watch it! Thought it was very good.
Chris Lowe doesn't get the credit that he should, but then I think that they are both overlooked in general in terms of the contribution they've made to the music industry considering they've been around for two decades.

Thought the pair of them seemed very down to earth and likeable chaps.
