please explain ohms / speakers!

right, i am gonna buy a new amp + speakers... cant really afford it all in one go this month (too many cool games/dvds coming out!) so gonna get speakers first, then amp later.

the amp + speakers i want to buy can work at 8ohms, fine... but my current amp seems to do 6ohms ... now i look at the specs for my new speakers, and it says nominal impedence 6ohms... does this mean i can use 6ohms or higher amp?

confusingly, part of the specs for the speakers i want says its ideal for an 8ohm amp. doh!

The slight mismatch will not make any noticable diffrence nor will it do any damage your system. So don't worry about it
