Auto mute?

Is there a way of getting the Topfield to automatically mute the sound and, if possible, display a blank screen when you stop playing something from the library?
I find it really anoying to be faced with something like Big Brother after watching a really good film - takes the edge of things.
Thanks.

Make sure your are tuned to one of the part-time channels before you start playing the recording? For example BBC 4 during the day and CBBC during the night. Mind you given tne propensity for broadcasters to break into the video and audio of the closing credits, I am not sure you will get much improvement in your watching experience.

A TAP that would automatically blank out anything connected with BB would definately be worth installing!

This is a bugbear of mine too. It's particularly annoying when the Toppy shows me a programme that I'm recording to watch later! It's poor design in my opinion. I try to keep my Toppy tuned to channel 300 or 303, as these are data channels which always show a blank screen with no sound. But the Toppy still switches to another channel when dual recording (or recording a radio channel).

Thanks tichtich
I make sure the Topfield is set to channel 303 before I turn on the television and I get a lovely blank screen with no audio, watch the film and, at the end of the film, again there's a lovely blank screen with no audio.
Works a treat!
