Stupid 02 alerts

I subscribed to a couple of these alerts while they were called genie, then they made you pay for the alerts but the ones I had were still free. NOW they are all charged! with no warning whatsoever AND I cant even get rid of them through the website, it says i'm not subscribed to any but I just received one and 13p was stolen from my credit!!!

Anyone else having this problem?? What can I do??

Its very annoying- they need a feature where you can get a code sent to the phone you want, then enter that code on the website to get all cancelled.

I get the jokes on fridays, its a cheapish way of lightning the mood in maths

dannyb:

I was having the same problem... I originally subscribed to their F1 alerts but cancelled through their website at the end of last season - they were getting boring: 1st Schumacher, 5 gazillion points... etc...

They kept coming, of course, when racing resumed - so I went to the website and - sure enough - the alerts were still enabled. So once again, I removed the alert.

Oops... no change - only now O2 are warning that F1 alerts are about to become chargeable. So, I emailed "Customer Care" telling them that the website won't unsubscribe me - could they do it manually... and a drone replied informing me that I could unsubscribe through their webshite. Doh! If only I'd thought of that

Anyway, another I sent another email - detailing what would happen if they ever charged me for an alert - and that seems to have had the desired effect.
