That song has really lodged in my head, as it's so repetitive....... not sure what to think of her yet. Wouldn't mind listening to more of her stuff though.

Why do I get some horrible feeling that some no mark will have the idea to mix 'I Wanna Be A Hippy' with 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker'?

I think the lyric's are wrong when do you see a punk rocker with flower's in his or her hair.

My thoughts exactly! My idea of punk is staples through the nose and a pink mohican, but then I was a Thatcher's child of the 80s!

It's quite a boring song really. Not surprised it made it at Number 2.

Song irritates me.
There has been a lot of press about whether her "Live acoustic Gigs" were just a publicity stunt.
Sandi Thom will be forgotten in a year , maybe less if we are lucky

I'm still undecided , the tune is catchy but the lyrics have begun to grate.

I frown upon these "Back in the day" songs. I think they're a cheap shot.

It's all very well for Miss Thom to look at the past in rose-tint vision, it's just a shame she skimmed over all the racism, sexism and other repressions that people in the sixties and seventies had to go through. Oh well.

Anything decent being released on Monday? Anything to knock this dross off the top spot.

Maneater by Nelly Furtado will remedy that.

But, anyway, Sandi´s track rocks.

Yep exactly. you just know if she was around "back then" she'd be shouting about wantin to live in the 40/50s or something.

I think she's a really good singer, and I really like her album.

Im not that keen on her latest single.. but others on her album are great.

I like the track, kinda weird for my taste though. Doesn't make much of any sense.
