Hi I have a mce pc with a avermedia dvb-t usb 2.0 tuner. Is it possible to watch freeview in hd (when available) through a high res monitor using a dvi cable or do I need a hd ready lcd tv with hdcp dvi to watch full high def pictures. I am looking to upgrade my monitor soon so any suggestion would be welcome. The lcd's I been looking at are the ViewSonic 20" VX2025wm 8ms DVI LCD and the samsung 940mw 19" widscreen lcd tv + monitor

Who knows, since the tests happening in London are just that; tests, nobody knows either if HD services will ever appear permenantly on digital terrestrial and if they do if they'll ever use some sort of copy protection.

Currently the tests don't, however that doesn't mean that any possible future service won't. You may also be waiting some time for more HD services to appear (perhaps not until after 2012) by which time any hardware you buy now will be fairly old hat and out-of-date.

Surely you'll need a HD compatible DVB-T tuner card for starters?
