problems with hd
Hi, have just had sky hd installed and the picture is brillient. however one slight problem is that it has to be run through the component leads. I have a dvi input on the tv which is hdcp enabled. however I cannot get a picture displayed through the hdmi-dvi lead. (pure av cable) TV is pansonic th-42pw7 with a panasonic ty-42tm6 dvi board. I can run the pc through the dvi no problem. Have tried every combination on the tv with no success, anyone have any ideas?

I believe the PW6 DVI board does not accept 50hz signals only 60hz since it was designed with the US market in mind.

thanks, looks like that is the problem. Panasonic does a hdmi board, do you think this may work, or would it be the same problem?

I am not 100% sure the series 7 HDMI board is 50hz compliant, I was going to order a s7 panel and HDMI board back in 2004 but with so much confusion over it's capabilites I cancelled.
The series 8 board does but I don't think that can be used on a series 7 panel
