My Phillips television set keeps turning itself off. It also has a blue screen just before it turns itsself off. The indicator light also keeps flashing on and off when it should be solid.

Is this a fault with my television,or is it a fault with the power supply?

Laughs. No I always keep all four remotes on the side table.

It keeps turning itself off every ten minutes or so. I have to get up and turn it off on the television, then turn it on again to get it to work.

it could be the cpu, like a pc, if the tv overheats or isnt getting any air, it will turn off to save the motherboard. sounds techy so get intouch with your coverplan help line and ask for a engineer to call out

Its a rental television with Box Clever. I called them up,a man came round last week, didn't listen properly to what the problem was, fiddled with the contrast and said it was too high. Then said "that should fix it" and left.

It is still not working so I am sick of having to phone Box Clever up again.

There is a "random reset" issue with the 9830 models.

There are a few threads about the issue over at AVForums .
