I have just ordered a pioneer dvr433h-k to replace my old pioneer dv464 as my dvd player in my pioneer home cinima system consisting of vsx-d510 a/v amp and 5.1 surround sound pioneer speakers with sub woofer.

I have sk+ and was hoping to use this to transfer material from my sky+ box to keep. Is this going to be a striaght forward thing to do, ie can i just select my items on sky and tell the system to copy it (over night) and the 433 will record it.

i've been reading through the threads and am getting confused regarding the whole video/VR/realtime/High Speed copy stuff.... is this all explained in the manual or could someone give me an idiots quick idiots guide....

also (sorry) can i transfer movies off dvd onto the hdd and watch em from there to save loading disks into the machine all the time ?
