If you buy online from any supplier you have the right to return an item and get a full refund for seven days, for any reason. This should cover any problems that are apperent on recieving the set. Since most companies communicate by email you have everything in writing if there is any problem.

www.qed-uk.com have returned things in the past without any quibble, in my experience.

Bear in mind that qed-uk.com is owned by Miller brothers who went into Administration last week. There is a Management buyout going so things may well settle down, but be careful.

John Lewis have a pretty good returns policy - 28 days. (They also have a 5 year warranty on TVs - although personally I have always thought if nothing goes wrong at the start you tend to be OK in the long term.)

They swapped my plasma without any quibble - panel was humming - and refunded me £200, since the price had dropped since my initial purchase, without me asking.

(As is often mentioned here AV Forums is a good source of information.)
