Least you won't have wasted much then . I personally think the joke was for Eurovision night only.

Just watched them perform on Popworld, could help but think "The Tweenies of rock," all they need is a guy in a blood stained dog costume and they're there.

Don't think it'll get to number one, but stanger things have happened.

Maybe too many people will refuse to buy it coz Daz and his porky little school girls didn't win and the mean boys from Finland robbed him of his place

Nah I'm just being horrible!!

I think had it been released the monday after the eurovision it woulda gone to No 1 but its been to long in hype-world.

Erm.....???
No!
Kerrang 105.2 broadcasts on FM and DAB in the midlands - and then Kerrang! is also available in various parts of the UK only on DAB. http://www.kerrangradio.co.uk/home.asp

And in the latest figures they had 1 202 000 listeners overall.......!! Slightly more than 4 then.... http://www.rajar.co.uk/INDEX2.CFM?menuid=9

As for the radio play debate - maybe Kerrang! would play them; and then perhaps XFM at a push. Whoever, that's not going to make much of an impact really. I can't see the likes of Capital Radio playing it.
Someone like Key 103 might play it once or twice as a joke as could Radio 1; but I can't see regular plays.

Ultimately - no it won't reach number one.

I think they could well go to No 1 (just to finally topple Gnarls Barkley if nothing else!) Strikes me that they'll either be big ol' one hit wonders or the first Eurovision winners for many years to actually achieve some success outside of the contest.....

Lordi have achieved considerable success already. They're on their 3rd album now and have gigged consistently and popularly round Europe for a good few years (including last year's Download festival in the UK). They have a relatively small but enthusiastic following over here too.

They may only be a one hit wonder over here, where the majority of people don't seem to like anything either foreign or 'outside the box' but I suspect they've still got plenty of shelf life where musical minds are broader and more adventurous.

How can the cast of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine be anything else than a one hit novelty act?

Well I found this picture of the rather lovely keyboard player without make-up, in her previous band. Hope the link works. (oh, yes - she's the one without the beard and greasy hair! )
