loss of sound?! help please...
i got back last night and turned on the tv to find the picture was there but no sound. i made sure the volume was on max.
i am using a sagem freeview box.... i thought it might be the sagem so i pluged in my vcr (has a tuner) and there was no sound. pluged in the antenna directly and still no sound..... just to make sure i pluged in the sagem into a smaller tv and it is perfectly fine, picture and sound. i am guessing my tv's is shot? is it worth a repair or would it be really expensive? cheers |

Who needs sound on a telly?
Plug your sources into a hifi amp and speakers, and let that take care of it. Better sound anyway. Just a thought, but have you tried plugging headphones into the telly, and using it's own tuner to see if the sound is actually doodahd. |

Most Toshiba TVs have a switch to select the internal speakers or external ones...it will be near the external speaker connections. |
