Motorolla V3- Quick Questions
Does it have video capture?
Is it any good? Anything else good about it? Thanks

No it doesn't have video capture, just playback. It's only got 5MB of memory, and it's not a music player.
It's really wide too. |

Some of the newer versions of the V3 DO have video capture but its nothing special - clips only as the memory doesnt allow for long video - its only 7MB.
The biggest selling point of the V3 is the thinness and thats it - not a great phone but mediocre. |

You can hack the firmware around a bit to get it to record video. You can also clear out some of the crap you don't need (pre-installed pics & tones) to free up a bit more space.
But, best case scenario, you have 10mb TOTAL memory available IF you're willing to hack it about in the first place. My wife wanted one for ages. Finally got one to replace her old Sharp GX30i. Two weeks in, she hates it ... wishes she'd kept the Sharp! It's all style over function in her opinion. |

It's all style over function in her opinion. I played about with the firmware and it was still just as slow, buggy and annoying so I eBayed it. Back with my Nokia 6230 now, much much much better. |
