I only heard that they would be applying, I know nothing more than that. Applying for what, however, I don't know!

That's very true, in fact, I can't think of any of the British Latin champions within recent years who have both been British? Can anybody else? I'm very pleased that Paul and Olga are now representing England as it's a great thing for the country. And also if they are living, working and training here, then it seems the obvious choice!

Gosh, that's the stuff dreams are made of! I wish! Unfortunately not, I think that Matthew has expressed that at the moment he isn't looking to compete any more, which truly is a great loss.
Hopefully matthew and Nicole will do demos togther on scd 4

On the subject of professionals for next year, I would love to see Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace and has anyone seen them in the new Samsung mobile phone advert?

The look fantastic in a very striking pose. I just noticed them in the Evening Standard magazine today

I totally agree about the judges on the show. It would be nice to have another judge who actually knew more about ballroom and latin than some of the current ones. Some of the comments they made about how dances should be performed were downright wrong!

Becca is right, Matthew and Nicole are not back together, and I don't believe it will happen to be honest At the moment, I don't think Matthew is interested in competing again.

You are, of course, right , in most british ballroom and latin couples, one of the partnership is from abroad, but I think, in support of Katie, it is true to say that Lilia at least has competed for the UK through Youth, Amateur and Professional levels, and has, I believe, taken out British Citizenship, so I can understand why people would regard her and Darren as a British couple.

Going back to the judges, I personally would like to see the back of screeching Arlene, (is it just me her voice grates on?) and/or Bruno, who is so prone to favouritism. I don't have so much of a problem with Craig, funnily enough, as I think he probably knows more about ballroom and latin than he is usually given credit for.

I think some of it is totally laughable, to be honest! In other countries, for their versions of SCD there have been judges such as Monique Van Opstal and Dave Campbell taking part, so I don't see why we couldn't have a reshuffle for next series . . . I'm hopeful!

I agree with bewest about seeing the back of Bruno or Arlene! Arlene's voice IS grating, yes. Also the fact that it is blatently obvious she still regards herself as very sexy and attractive is a bit embarrassing, in my opinion anyway. Some of the comments she makes re sex are just repulsive, and half the time not appropriate to the dance.
I do think that she will stay, however, because she is the only female judge, I would be quite happy for her to be replaced though, personally!

About Matthew and Nicole, I very much doubt they would ever perform together competitively, or even on SCD as Nicole now has a partner who I expect has also been asked to do the show (I could be wrong though!) Also, I would imagine it would be quite difficult for them to perform together after their marriage splitting up and everything. Just my opinion tho, I'm totally prepared to be put wrong.

Just to clarify on an earlier point, I am not patriotic in the least and certainly don't hold the view "Only English people should compete for England" I just feel that Olga and Paul have come in as professionals, with no like to the UK and taken the top spot away from a couple who, like bewest said, have worked their way up in the ranks, competing for England.

Sorry, I seem to be posting long essays today!

I don't think that Robin has expressed any desire to take part in the show, and don't quote me on this, but I am actually unsure if he has ever learnt Ballroom as I am under the impression that he has only ever trained in Latin.

Matthew and Nicole still appear to be very close and are great friends, I doubt very much that they will ever compete together as a partnership again, however I think there's every chance that next series of Strictly could see some incredible demonstrations from the pair of them together!

And as for Bruno - yep, he can go! Constantly overmarking his favourites . . . no thanks!

Oh thats interesting about Robin, I just assumed they would have asked the pair of them!!
About them performing I would love to see them dance together as I've never seen them perform as a couple! I hope you're right!!
Also I agree about Bruno, another one who I wouldn't miss at all!

When Matthew and Nicole taught us the Paso Doble at Karen's class, there was a real air of magic watching them perform the finished routine

And they get on extremely well as friends .

It would be amazing watching them perform together at some time in SCD4

Aww, that's good news, it's always nice to have new faces in there I think.

And Emma, here's a clip of Matthew and Nicole's Jive, hope it works! Enjoy!

That's really great-thankyou.
Matthew was my favourite from SCD3. I was really sorry when he went out so early. Hope he gets a good partner in SCD4

He was my favourite also, I was so upset when he left in the first week.

He deserves to do well this time.

There are 14 professional dancers signed up for SCD4. Sorry I dont know who they are but I dont like to push my luck too far with the questions all at once!

I did suggest that they might have been better sticking with 12 couples and just using the first two weeks as no eliminations and maybe still having the voting but adding it up on a leaderboard until the third week. That way they would have been still going head to head with X Factor without risking going into overkill with the number of dancers. Was told that was a good idea and it would be passed on to the SCD management team.

If I get to know who the extra professionals are i will let you know.

If there are 14 professionals signed, the logic is that all of last years pros will be there, except Karen, (replaced by Nicole Cutler) plus Vincent and Flavia. All of last years except Andrew and Hanna have now confirmed at various events they are doing it.

Although I love the programme, I do fear this will mean more weeks, although like Becca I do hope this is not the case. I think the BBC is is danger or spoiling a brilliant show by overkill. And PLEASE no new dances (and certainly not breakdancing!!!!) I cannot believe the professionals would want that!

Why do television companies always have to tamper with successful formulas? (or formulae!)
