I think that small lifts are good in the American Smooth though, don't you? Bendymixer.

I think that too many lifts would have us all far to worried about the celebs getting injured and our fav stars having no partner to continue the series.

thats a difficult one theresa there a quite a few would add the argentine tango for sure if its not already and for the other a salsa or mambo or maybe even an old time dance now there are loads of them!!! then again a lindyhop or a jitterbug - big problem is Anton though he is not a lover of Latin and wont go down too well with him

I love that idea you know! I would personally love to see some group old time dances, not only would it keep in with the tradition of the show, but I think it would be nice for viewers to learn more about it. I'd be happy enough for them to include some dances.

Even though I do like Anton as a dancer, I do think it adds a bit of comedy to the programme seeing him trying dances he hates. So funny. It's good to bring people out of their comfort zone sometimes.

Mambo is a good idea, great music, lively. I would like to see another sexy dance.

I can see them having a go at the hustle, and it's nice music, plus not too hard for the celebs.

I liked the range of dances on SDF. There was nothing outrageous and it was good to see 'new ' dances like the ( excuse the spelling) malinga.

Impossible! As Property Ladder viewers will know, she's always pregnant!!!!

I'm going to Scarborough Dance Festival 7 - 12 Nov and Simone and Flavia should be running latin workshops and demonstrations all week. I hope their inclusion in SCD doesn't make them withdraw from Scarborough!

I don't know why people keep saying that. She went about 5 series not being pregnant but with very badly fitted shirts
I hope they do get her on and they don't scrape the bottom of the barrel for the other 13 celebs. I've got a feeling it will be a Holby City and ex-Eastender reunion.

I wish they'd just stick to INTERNATIONAL style Standard and Latin . . .

There needs to be three extra dances as well as the normal 10 dances, 5 Ballroom and 5 latin. They are adding American Smooth, Argentine Tango and Salsa. This is not guesswork one of the pros told me this.

They have not yet signed up Hanna and Andrew and they still need another female pro as well.

So far Anton and Erin, Darren and Lilia, Ian and Camilla, Vincent and Flavia, Matthew and Nicole and Brendan. The problem is they really want a ballroom couple to balance things up a bit.

I keep saying this, but I would absolutely adore to see Alan and Donna Shingler on there . . . they must be the perfect candidates!

I have always thought it a little unfair to have only one professional ballroom couple on the show. Why is that?

Just answered that question on the other SCD4 thread.

Not many good ballroom dancers do Latin. Practically all latin dancers started out learning Ballroom and then changed to Latin. So the BBC are having trouble finding a Ballroom couple to do it. Vincent and Flavia are a good choice as they are 10 dance champions so do both. Not many Ballroom dancers though who could carry off the Latin as well as Anton does, he masks a lot of it with his personality though and if you didnt know any Latin you wouldnt be able to tell he was not doing it well.

I was watching some SCD3 last night, and was really impressed with Erin's Paso. I remember in S2 she said it was 9 years since she'd danced it!!! Erin just rocks, but that's off topic!

I missed some of the first series and don't think I've ever seen Anton do the paso. Has he done it in either of the last series? I know he hates it!

He must have done it! But I can't actually remember.
