ok, some of you may be aware that i recently purchased a brand-spanking new telly, a HD Samsung. Hooke it up for the very first time to my Xbox 360 and was simply blown away by the images. But that's by the by...
We had problems hooking it up to our PC, but they are now resolved.
The thing is...
I made a school boy error of trying to get sound by hooking up leads from the PC to the TV's audio Out sockets - and couldn't understand why i wasn't getting any sound. I know...technology and leads aren't exactly my strong point.
However, i noticed last night that there was a spare Audio In socket (left and right!) in the back after all. So i plugged it in and...nothing. I was hoping something would work, but it didn't. I know i'm doing something wrong...

FYI i also purchased a lead from Maplins last night - a 3.5 phono lead which i was sure was going to work - only to find i only purchased an extension cord! I really shouldn't be allowed to go out and buy stuff by my self...
