just finally got my first mp3 player and ripping loads of mix albums to it but theres a gap between each track, i want to use vbr - variable bit rate - to ensure small file size but want no gaps between tracks, off on holiday tomorrow so no time for any editing so will probably need something that just saves it as one big track, help needed please.......

Easy cd extractor lets you save the whole cd as one track.

Done it myself and then imported the mp3 into itunes as there's nothing worse than a 1 second gap between a couple of mixed tracks!

iTunes has the ability to make an entire CD one track.

It also does VBR!

All well and good, but let's say you're burning a live album, so you need all the tracks to join perfectly. How would you skip to a certain song, if the whole album is recorded as 1 track? There must be a way round this seeing as you can buy live albums on cd!
