Sony Ericsson W550

or

Motorola L7 Red

I like the look of the Motorola L7 more than the the Sony but the Sony has a built-in FM radio, and internet browser.

What would you pick?

I'd pick the most reliable one. After that it's all down to personal preferences so surely only you can decide that.

Firstly, the Motorola has an internet browser too.

Although I'm a SonyEricsson fan, I would go for the Motorola for the simple fact that it's smaller, thinner, and can take a memory card. The sonyEricsson doesn't take a memory card and only has 256MB memory.

Well if it's down to reliability it's certainly not a motorola. I've never had a sony Ericsson so I dunno....

Thanks anyway

Thanks. I'll tell you which one I decide upon later because I'm off out to buy it soon. Although, you're probably not interested

Well, it might have an internet browser, but how would you like to be browsing the web at a measly 9.6kbps whilst paying through the nose for it? Or dial-up speeds via GPRS, whilst still costing you a bomb?

As long as it does GPRS and Java, can't you just use Opera Mini anyway?

LOL, I must have racked up well over £100 whilst browsing sites like BBC News and Digital Spy whilst I was on holiday last year but O2 screwed up so I had free wap browsing - I was on it every night! - I loved the fact I could keep up with the latest from Big Brother whilst away!

I bought the Sony Ericsson K750I yesterday and I am really impressed, the 2 megapixel camera is excellent

They are totally different. The L6 doesn't have memory card - the L7 does. The L7 has a music player too with 3D sound.

I went for the Motorola. The Sony is really thick when opened up and heavy. The Motorola is sleek and I like the colour and in the process I'm helping the cause to prevent AIDS in Africa.

I'm really impressed. I had a Motorola V220 before absolutely awful looking phone and poor reliability (the sensor on the flip didin't work so the phone 'thought' the flip was open when in fact it was closed.) After that I said I would never get another Motorola but this one isn't a flip so hopefully all will be OK.

Thanks for everyone's help

Great. I hope you enjoy your new phone - I would have gone for the Motorola too, that model is much better than the SonyEricsson phone you mentioned
