Will this work? DVI to HDMI
OK guys I've moved from an Acer 32inch LCD with DVI to a Toshiba 42WLT66 with 2 x HDMI. I have a cable that is HDMI on one end and DVI on the other that I was using from my SKY HD but now I'm just using an HDMI. My question (sorry for taking so long) is will the cable work the other way round ie DVI to HDMI. WIll I be able to connect the DVI port on my PC to the HDMI socket on the TV or will it all blow up?
Thanks for reading. |

Hello! I believe it will work if the cable is fully wired. The worst that could happen is no picture at all. Nothing will blow up!!

Daz stunning mate. Also pc works fine when windows is loaded, 1920 by 1080 resolution, rock solid, beautiful.
Thanks all for the advice and re-assurance. |

I've got a Humax 32" LCD connected to Sky HD via componant, the tv only has a DVI port, I've had to send 1 HDMI>DVI cable back as the DVI plug would fit into the tv too many pins, the user guide for the tv says it is a
DVI-D port, I've done a search on ebay & Google but the result comes up with DVI-D Male & DVI-D Female, not sure which one to go for any ideas? Steve |
