Pebl U6 V Nokia 3250
Hi i am looking to get either a Motorola Green Pebl U6 or a Nokia Green 3250.
I have been waiting for the new Motorola Pebl's to come out for about two weeks now and to be honest i am getting really sick of waiting. The priorities for me is the colour and it has to be able to work with a Mac and have Bluetooth. The Nokia 3250 is out already http://www.b4utele.com/index.asp?fun...&productid=359 but the new Motorola U6's in colours are not http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=133981 What do you think is the better phone i am tempted just to get the Nokia now and just to forget about the Pebl. |

I say you should get the nokia. The nokia has a better camera, a better screen, and more memory+minisd cards. The nokia has the symbian os, which means you can have lots of 3rd party apps, like opera browser. IMO, the motorola isnt that good, i think operating the phone is a bit slow, and the menus are a bit confuisng. So, a vote for the mokia 3250!

Thank you for your advice you have just convinced me i think. I think that i may opt for the Nokia now because as you said it is a better featured packed phone. I personally think that the Pebl does look better but i am willing to forgo that. I have not used a phone with the design of the 3250 before but i am sure that i will soon get used to it. I just have to start googling where to buy it now as the shop that i linked to before that was selling the Nokia for £222 is out of stock. Quote:

I think the PEBL is probably just for looks (like most of Moto's offering lately). 3250 has the music edge/camera edge, and OS, so certainly a vote from me.

I think that £222 is the most that i would pay for the 3250 phone. I have considered getting it from the Nokia site because at least i will have peace of mind if anything goes wrong. Some shops are charging £250-£280 for this phone or even higher and shipping will have to be paid as well.
If anybody knows where i could get it cheaper then please let me know. I don't want a contract and am only after PAYG that is unlocked. Really pushing near to the £300 is a bit scary for me especially when this phone does not have wifi in it either if i am wrong about that then please put me right. You can get cheap laptops for about £300 which is nearly the same price of this phone. The orange and the teal Pebl U6's seem to be out in some shops now but the green ones and the pink ones have not been released yet. The orange and teal Pebl's ones seem to be priced at around £160-180 so they are priced a little lower than the 3250. Thanks for the advice all. Last edited by risingstar : 05-06-2006 at 23:29. |

Lol, how did this happen i just ended up buying a Nokia 91. I was so set on getting one of those two phones above but i started reading one of threads in this forum titled Nokia N80 v N73 which was about mobiles with wifi access and that can of swung it for me in the end. I had no idea that mobiles had wifi access prior to me reading that thread.
I would love a more female friendly wifi phone but they just do not seem to be any. I think that the N91 will do me fine. It is not the colour that i wanted but it has some great features and i paid about £50 more than what i would have paid for a Nokia 3250. Plus i have wifi now so have greater scope for connectivity. Now when people come round and push me of my laptop i will have something to use which is just great for me. |

My phone arrived today the Nokia N91. It is a really good phone i have already been on DS wirelessly with it today.
I have a quick question and i thought that i would post it here as i do not want to start another thread. I need to set up Bluetooth with my phone and my computer is asking me for a username, password and GPRS CID string. How would i go about finding the GPRS CID string settings on my phone and also what username and password are they requesting? Do they want my T-Mobile username or my AOL details or do they want me to make one up? Thanks |
