Rosanne Cash
Good performance from Johnny's daughter at the Festival Hall Saturday night. The first half-dozen songs were all from the current 'Black Cadillac' cd,including some stunning piano playing on I Was Watching You,before she started on the old favourites which included Seven Year Ache,Runaway Train,The Wheel,September When It Comes and a brilliant version of Tennessee Flat Top Box. Johnny would be proud.

I LOVE Rosanne Cash and have seen her live a few times. It always leaves me wondering why she isn`t a much bigger star over here as she`s certainly more talented and a much better singer than what passes for American Country femail singers these days (Faith, Martna, Leanne)
It`s hard to pick a fave CD but for me it would have to be either 10 song demo, The Wheel, Interiors, Rules of Travel, Black Cadillac, King.....well I`m such a fan I can`t choose. If you`ve never heard of her, check her out. |
