3 and PAC codes
Will 3 give you a PAC code there and then when you ask for it, or do you have to wait a few days for them to send it?

With me I had to wait ages for it as "their systems were down" they told me you should normally get it straight away though.

They won't give you a PAC code, but will give you a PAC.

A PAC code doesn't exist a PAC does.
Note: PAC = Port Authorisation Code. Therefore PAC Code = Port Authorisation Code Code. When you request a PAC from your current provider they will issue you with a code, this you give to your new provider and allows you to take (port) your number to the new network. An unlock code is a code you enter into your phone to remove the network lock, and allow you to use any networks SIM in your phone. |

Virgin are still if you have spent £30 with them in total since being with them, they will unlock for free.
