Absolutely loathe the song, but thank god Gnarls Barkley has been knocked of its perch. Finally!

Congratulations to Sandi. At least she has been the only one to put that crap out of the number 1 spot.

Now, let´s talk about her track.

Fantastic!.

Is that the one from the Tooting Basement?

That Gnarls Barkley one was growing on me. Heard it pretty late.

Hasn't the Gnarls Barklay one been deleted, though? Or is that "soon"?

I am so pleased Sandi Thom is Number One. I bought the single months ago after hearing it on Johnny Walker's Drivetime show. Its blinking brilliant. Its about time it got the credit it deserves.

I watched Top of the Pops and I ended up clapping to it and shouting: 'Swing your partners round and round'.

Still great song.

it was deleted last Monday. Under the current chart rules, which mean a record can only chart for 2 weeks after being deleted, the song has one more week left and then it is removed from the chart!

Jesus. How many more singer-songwriters do we need clogging up the charts?

I just want something decent, that's all. And by that definition, I mean no irritatingly fey tw*ts on an acoustic guitar/piano singing horrendously inoffensive dross. The charts used to be dominated by what the kids bought, now most of the housewives, mums, middle-class dinner party people and other associated ilk with no taste in music have kept Mr. Blunt and his like constantly in the top ten.

Gotta love the A + R people at the record companies. Once they catch on to something...

I've been listening to 6Music loads this past few weeks, and a lot of stations that aren't in the UK mainstream. Having heard and seen loads of new and old acts, and the festival line ups, you see there's so much great stuff going on.

Then you see the X Factor this weekend, Simon Cowells comments, and I think that's why the chart is full of crap. Although I don't mind Kelly Clarkson, who came out of a TV show.

I don't like Keane, but once small (by that, I largely mean inane crap) stations got a hold of Crazy, it was destined to go this way. Like Virgin Radio did to Keane.

I don't mind this song, I wouldn't buy it or turn the radio up, but it's better than a lot of stuff.

Why don't they just rename the charts "The Top 40 Most Hyped".

Ohhh by the way watch out for my forthcoming single to be tactfully promoted on myspace, the Jo Whiley show and a web-cam concert very soon. It's only for the "kool" kids though...

I was willing to give the song a chance, but after hearing it this afternoon, I have only one thing to say

BRING BACK GNARLS BARKLEY!

This 'I wish I was a Punk Rocker' song is, well, in my opinion, a complete load of sh*te. I'd rather listen to a police siren.

What a load of pretentious cack it is. Alanis Tunstall should sod off back to her basement and have it locked forever. Any self respecting punk rocker would spew up hearing this.
