Samsung SM940MW - lines on screen

Hey all,

Just got this TV yesterday, worked fine last night. Played elder scrolls on it, watched family guy on it. Everything was peachy.

Get in tonight after Muay Thai and switch it on - to my horror there are annoying vertical bands that go all the way down it from one side to the other. Loads of lines, a cluster of about 10 and then a half inch until another cluster.

This is on every source input and weather devices are switched on or not.

Any ideas? troubleshooting in the manual is no use and the support lines are closed!

I don't want to have to return this TV to argos.

Please help!!!!!

I hate to say it, but is probably a faulty product so I would say take it back ASAP ... but call Argos and tell them that you are bringing it back and to check that they have one in stock.

I have this TV as well, and haven't had any such problems with it in the 5 months i've had it.

hmmmm, there have been no such lines appear since. When it had been on for about half hour the lines dissapeared.

It was near a window and that had been open all day while i was at work.

Do you think possibly that it was cold and then heated up??
