Samsung D600 Time display
Hi
I've just recently upgraded my phone from a D500 to a D600. One of the things I've noticed is that on the D500 is that when the phone was not active, it would diplay the time and date on the screen but the D600 just goes blank after inactivity on the phone. Is there a setting somewhere on the phone to get it to display the date and time as it's really handy to see the date and time without having to slide the phone and view it that way. Much appreciated. |

Press and hold the volume key (either up or down), it'll then display the date and time for a few seconds.

Cool thanks matt, is it not possible to have the time and date to be displayed at all times?

I called Samsung about this & they advised that the time will not display in standby mode.
Back to Nokia or Sony Eric for me |

I'm not too bothered about it but it's kind of strange that they didn't add it as it's useful to see the time without actually having to press a button on the phone, well that's life i suppose

It really annoyed me at first, but I've kind of got used to it, it must save on battery power though as the display isn't always on.

You don't need to get your phone out, or press anything. What they are are tiny little clocks that you can actually strap to your wrist so that you can tell the time just by looking. It was thought at first that they wouldn't catch on, but now there are shops that specialise in their sale. Even Argos do them. |

Ive just got a sony erickson w810i and that doesnt display the time either unless you press a button. I had a d500 previous aswell and i miss that feature of it always showing the time and if you have had a text or a call. |

If you want to look like a gawky teenager trying to impress its mates by fumbling for its phone to see what the time is, go right ahead
