With all the tripe Radio 1 plays, I think the only use of knives it's likely to encourage is the slitting of wrists.

They encourgage racism and homophobia too on the Chris Moyles show.

i guess its easier that dealing with the issues of alienation, poverty, lack of employment, lack of education, demonisation, ghettoisation, failure to take down and prosecute drug dealers, targeting the users who are victims rather than the industry itself...........

My mum and my eldest sister have Radio 1 tapes from way back when and they were much better.

It was when they started being so "selective" about what thay played and particularly the new music they played that things started going downhill. They only play what they deem "credible" and what think you should be listening to and not what people are likely to want to listen to, or even what correspondence and BBC board messages would suggest people want to listen to.
