This thread obviously annoys you, why do you keep coming back and reading it and adding a response? Are you looking to find something to argue with or do you have nothing better to do?

I am making a point, the point is that if you dont like the fact that tickets are sold on Ebay then dont type them into the serarch box, simple as that. Especially when you have already got the tickets in question, sad!

Yes it does annoy me and luckily we have free speach and therefore i can air my views. People sell tickets on Ebay, big deal, there are more important things to worry about. People take it out of context.

I assume that only people who agree with you and your stop ticket touts crusade are allowed to post on this thread then? Tough!!!

Its not the who though is it, it's half the who, all tickets for that should be half price.

We have free speech and a free economy - and that means you can buy a commodity - a ticket and sell it, for a profit.
If you dont like that - go here - www.cpgb.org.uk

Your just mad cause you didnt think to buy an extra ticket that you could sell for beer money at the gig.

Frankly I don't think anyone has made anything resembling a point in support of the eBay touts. The best they can come up with is "if you don't like it don't search on eBay". Hardly the sharpest riposte, is it?

It's quite simple. The eBay scammers are using the Buy It Now facility to put a heavy mark-up on tickets because they can. It's the way eBay works that allows them to advertise tickets for several times the face value, not "free speech" or a "free economy". They can order tickets, advertise them on eBay the same day even though they haven't even been printed yet, and never have to pay for them because the payment comes in before the credit card bill. It's not about beer money, it's about making an unacceptable profit by exploiting the way eBay works.

If anyone can come up with a coherent argument as to why 100% profit, or 200% profit, or higher, is actually a completely acceptable figure then feel free to do so. We're talking about tickets which have a face value set by the market forces of supply and demand, and already sold at a profit, so don't pretend that this is just the way a "free economy" works. It's not. It's a rip off, and even free economies have laws against that.

There's one born every minute on ebay, though. I sold the following Cds last weekend:

The Strokes - 5 track album sampler
The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony (promo)
Slipknot - IOWA album sampler
Serafin - No Push To Collide album sampler
Keane - Everybody's Changing (promo)
Richard Ashcroft - album sampler
Muse - Album sampler
Slipknot - Duality (promo)
Stereophonics - You Gotta Go There To Come Back album sampler
Manic Street Preachers - So Why So Sad
Alkaline Trio - Mercy Me (promo)
Queen - We Will Rock You (promo)
Oasis - Album sampler

And some idiot payed me £3.91 for them. Plus £5 postage! And postage actually cost me less than £4.50!! Sucker!!!
