SLVR Red - Bluetooth

Last week I bought an unlocked Motorola Red SLVR from the carphone warehouse. When I turn the handset on bluetooth automatically powers on even though it’s off, when I switch the handset off. Is this an idiosyncrasy of the SLVR or do I have a faulty one? I am more used to Nokia.

Have you read the user manual yet? Page 32 should give you the answer.

Thank you but I have no problem with connecting the memory card with my computer (page 32) I just want bluetooth to stay off

Well on my SLVR (non-Red) you just hit the bluetooth icon on the menu and select power off in the setup

You obviously have a slightly different manual than the standard - try reading whats on the next page about bluetooth wireless, particularly the section entitled 'turn Blootooth power on and off'

If that fails, try the index at the back of the manual

I have read it and turn it off. But every morning when i turn the phone back on bluetooth comes on by itself. I just want to know how to make it stay off
