Does anyone else's Sony Mini-Disc deck switch itself on from standby? Mine does, it also tries to eject discs by itself when there isn't one in.
Do you think it may be haunted? (or just shagged?) P9. |

My 2 (or is it 3) year old Sony MD deck also appears to be haunted.
No real problem as such but it has exactly the same symptoms you describe (mostly at night) which I find very amusing. |

my 2 year old sony md deck is just buggered - i switched it on from standby one day and it just went dead
![]() when i try 2 turn it on it, it beeps once, lights up and then cuts out can't be bothered to pay to get it fixed cos i have a couple of portable recorders anyway (would be nice to get the disc out, though!) but i don't wanna replace it because it matches the system i've got, so i'll probably just end up waiting until i replace the whole lot on topic! - when it was working, it did have a tendency to turn itself on overnight - i would leave it on standby in the evening and wake up to find it playing - i used to think that it must've been that i had left the timer on, but most of the time when it happened i was sure that i hadn't
