R.I.P Billy. A great talent taken from us prematurely.

How sad...

He was a great musician and sessions man, probably best remembered for playing the hammond organ on The Beatles record Get Back.

What a sad loss.

I saw him play with the Rolling Sones at Belle Vue Manchester in 1972.

Shame.........

He played with 'The Stones' quite a lot, and of course had hits of his own............'That's the way god planned it'.........comes to mind.

A great and somewhat underrated talent in my opinion.

RIP Billy.

Sad to hear this news. He came across as a really nice man too. His performance on the Beatles Let It Be LP, including the Get Back/Don't Let Me Down tracks were exceptional and really improved all the songs.

He appears on a fair few anthology tracks as well. He will be missed. Has Macca or Ringo commented yet?

Respect and may he rest in peace. Heard That's The Way on the radio yesterday, the organ solo is so beautifully understated. A great, uplifting song.
