site for tracing phone numbers?.......

I know there was a thread here way back but i cant find it on search but someone linked a site whereby if you entered a phone number, landline or mobile - it would say either area or which provider the number was held by - any ideas? thanks nn

Looks like their starting to use up more and more of the number codes now there's hardly any free ones left i take it the networks will start strictly disconnecting really old numbers and re-using them? Even putting expiry dates on the sim packs? I think they should as this will help them get more numbers free'd up

I though they were already doing this.
I could see the other companies following Orange here. They only issue a number when you register a sim card, so they don't get wasted.

Well they do disconnect them after so long but they should have an expiry like some of the free o2 sims or do it like orange way.
