I just noticed I had 15 people below him in my list for Cheeks' poll. Might have to move him down a bit next year
So much competition for the bottom few places though. Sezer at least apologised for his behaviour after BB.

Actually they seemed to get along fine at first. It was Nikki's jealousy over Pete, that drove the wedge between them initially.
There was some debate about this recently.... the moment Nikki made that comment to Lea "What's she got that we haven't?" - occurred the day before Lisa's eviction. Here's the direct link to that bit of the highlights show: From 6:38 onwards

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsgWDJEOS_I&t=6m38s

For many people watching this appeared to be the starting point (more or less) of Nikki's what I will call 'insecurities' over the Ash/Pete friendship

When do you think the wedge was first driven? Before or after Ash went to the HND?

Sounds like after.
There was more than one wedge, some before HND, some after Still they are on good terms nowadays!

Yes, that whole "You better know yourself" incident would not have endeared Aisleyne to Nikki

Thing is, Aisleyne wasn't even aware that Nikki had a problem with her after the HND. She liked her. Even to the extent of choosing her to enter the house for the final.

The problems between them were all in Nikki's head in the end.

Cool. I think it's (almost) always good if HMs put BB disputes behind them.

There were certainly problems after Ash returned, with Jayne playing a role , but it seemed to me that (during bb7) Nikki never completely got over the time when Ash called her "boring" and "little girl". It seemed to be one of the issues the time Nikki was upset during Scouse Talk, for example.

However, there's one thing that's always puzzled me. In Nikki's eviction interview in week 8, she seemed to be accepting, in a resigned sort of way, that Pete fancied Ash.

(I'm not saying it was true that he did, just that Nikki seemed to think he did and seemed to accept it.)

How did things get from that to Nikki and Pete acting like a couple when Nikki came back?

Anyway, I've been trying to reconstruct a timeline in my mind, just so I can have a good picture of what happened, and it's the period before Ash went to the HND I'm having the most trouble with. That's partly because I didn't watch very much in the time between Grace's eviction and the HND twist being announced, the period in which this event falls:

There was some debate about this recently.... the moment Nikki made that comment to Lea "What's she got that we haven't?" - occurred the day before Lisa's eviction. ...

For many people watching this appeared to be the starting point (more or less) of Nikki's what I will call 'insecurities' over the Ash/Pete friendship
(BTW, I remember you saying it wasn't a good idea to link to that person's videos, because C4 might notice and block. That might be a sensible precaution. It's too late for you to edit the post, but you might be able to get the moderators to do something. Anyway ...)

The day Nikki said "What's she got that we haven't?" seems to be day 37.

When was the time when Ash said Nikki was "using Pete to stay in"? I think that happened more than once, but when did it start? I think Nikki may have made similar comments about Ash, and Lea is involved in there somewhere. It's hard to get it all straight.

There's this from Day 31: Ash asks Lea if she thinks Nikki fancies Pete. Lea: Yeaah, totally. Ash: She doesn't though, because on the outside world, she would never ever ever ever look at him. ... I think she's using him. ... She's very manipulative. (Ash then tells Lea the story of Nikki moving to sit on Ash's lap when the camera had moved to Ash, a story Ash also recounted in the HND).

(There's a clip, but it's blocked. The description above is from one of my old posts that I ran across when seeing if I could date the "using Pete to stay in".)

But I have to say I can't remember at all what Nikki or Ash's relationship with Pete was during this time, if indeed I ever knew.

Without wishing to revisit a debate that has probably entered the Guinness Book of records as the most debated topic in reality-TV history, it seemed to me thus:

-Nikki and Aisleyne got along fine initially.
-Nikki fancied Pete (or at least wanted him for the 'romance' angle)
-Lea fancied Pete (I think it's fair to say that this was pure infatuation rather than anything more calculated)
-Lea saw Pete and Aisleyne getting along
-Lea let Nikki know more than once something might be developing, with the intention of turning Nikki against her
-Lea (who was also friendly with Aisleyne at first) also started to turn against Aisleyne (as she turned against Lisa, who was also close to Pete initially)
-Nikki became suspicious of Aisleyne
-Aisleyne picked up on the antagonism from Nikki, and Lea
-big ructions on the week when Aisleyne was up

So, their relationship had ended before Jayne entered, although she didn't do much to reconcile them.

A belated Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for the Christmas (Twistmas?) Card, MT. Pretty cool .
[...snip...]

I've no special insight and my memory is pretty sketchy, but surely the views of the public are involved here somewhere? Also Pete indicated that he missed Nikki (although it didn't stop him going along with Jennie flirting with him).

ROMANTIC VERSION: Nikki has a terrible crush on Pete but doesn't feel confident enough to take the plunge until she's evicted and is told that many BB fans believe the relationship would have legs.

Back in the house, Pete misses Nikki terribly and says so.

Buoyed by confidence from the fans, Pete's comments and the fact that the Pete/Ash thing doesn't seem to be happening, Nikki returns and the pair reunite like a modern day Romeo and Juliet (except not dead, although tbh, #pikki didn't survive their reunion all that much longer than #jomeo).

CYNICAL VERSION: Nikki, (and possibly other BB7 females) trail(s) round after Pete having guessed that he will be popular and hoping for reflected glory. There is no genuine interest - except in the general way that he's quite fit if a bit stinky.

Nikki is evicted, and learns that whilst she is popular in her own right there is even more enthusiasm for her in a relationship with Pete. It would lead to more fame and money for her, especially as Pete is likely to win the show.

Inside the house, Pete hears cheers for Nikki and in his desperation to win seeks to align himself with the fans and says he misses her. He obviously doesn't really as he's happy to flirt with Jennie.

Pete and Nikki are reunited and snog for money in between Pete announcing the God has come to him in a dream and asked him to write the book of Mormon.
_________
Take your pick. Or it may be a mix of the two - I imagine that most BB relationships fall somewhere between invented and natural.

As to when Pete was told that Nikki was definitely gunning for a relationship I've no idea. I'd guess that Grace passed that on before Richard did, but that is just a guess.

It never really looked like it was going to work.

Somewhere between the two I think. Nikki did a lot of interviews between her two stints in the house, and my memory is that they always focused on the 'triangle' of her, Pete and Aisleyne. I don't think this has really struck her at all before, but she was a suggestible young thing and I think genuinely became convinced that this triangle existed. It was all quite poignant to me, because during this time Aisleyne was convinced that they were friendly - not necessarily friends, but reconciled - and had no idea how much she was being portrayed as the black hearted destroyer of Nikki's dreams. Pete was no more her type than he was Nikki's, and she never showed any interest in him beyond a flirty friendship. I used to read Heat back on those days, and they really went for Pikki and were violently against Aisleyne.

at Jomeo btw.

For any nightowls, Aisleyne is a guest at 2am on 'Looser Women Live' on Loaded TV (Sky 200).
You can also watch live on the website.
http://www.loaded.tv/home_live.php

It's a repeat from earlier in the evening, and she comes over really well.

I think that's right. There was a real head of steam built up in certain bits of the celeb media pushing her into a more-or-less genuine but doomed relationship with Pete and picking up where Jayne left off re Aisleyne.

Aisleyne on Loaded TV again tonight - 10pm Sky 200.

Don't worry about what it says in the schedule. I understand the show was originally supposed to be on tomorrow, but has been brought forward to tonight.

Ash says she was 'serenaded' by Harry Styles (One Direction) when they lived in the same building in North London (Princess Park Manor in Friern Barnet I think):

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...n-wallace.html

Ash produced this 'confession' during her appearance last night on 'Looser Women' - her and Chloe Sims did 95% of the talking. Barely a squeak out of Abbee Kimberly.

Another appearance tonight for Ash on Looser Women Live (10pm, Loaded TV, Sky Channel 200 / www.loaded.tv)

Looser Women apparently being sued by ITV for infringing their copyright on 'Loose Women' - but the show's still going out

Aisleyne's off to the premiere of 'Run For Your Wife' tonight, at the Odeon, Leicester Square.

The supported charity is Mencap, which is one of the ones Ash is close to.

Great pics. I much prefer Ash's more toned down look. Sometimes less is more!

I was watching BB7 and found it hilarious when Aisleyne and Jayne were shouting names across the garden to see if Spiral would reply to one of them
