Component to Scart Cable?
I have a DVD player that has RGB Scart out and a new tv that has Component in, my question is - are Component to Scart Cables any good or should I stick with my scart to scart cable.

As far as Scart to component cablesgo, there's nothing wrong with them except that your player will need to provide component over Scart, not just RGB - not a whole heap of products do... If you mean an RGB (Scart) to component converter, then that's a different (and much more expensive) kettle of fish, and involves some electronics.

The only TV which I know that accepts component over scart is Loewe so unless you have a screen that support this then there is no point in doing it. You can buy a box of tricks to convert the signal (£50-£150) but you will get no improvement in picture as you start at the lower RGB possition and you cant magically make it better by simply changing how the signal works.
