a bit early i know but time to start speculating. i think Morrissey has a good chance if hasn't got one all ready.

apart from him it hink the brits might move onto bands from the 90's as lots of bands fromt he 60's 70's and 80's have been appreciated. spice girls at the 2000 awards was a jokeand should be deleted from history. Radiohead will be good for the lifetime achievment despite not having claimed any brits in the past.

Given the current disposable state of the music industry it'll probably be Gnarls Barclay !!

Depeche Mode are worth a shout, 25 years with a decent turnover of albums

Has Kate Bush won it?. If not she deserves being considered.

I know who should win it but I know who won't, despite having won just about every other award the industry given out for outstanding achievement or lifetime contribution.

I'd like to see Roger Whittaker get one. Is he still alive? Top whistling.

Morrissey won't get it because:

A) He's too young yet
B) He's not the biggest fan of the BRITS

He was meant to be doing a duet with Robbie Williams at it last year or the year before but he refused and as far as I know he's never even attended a ceremony yet!

bet Take That get it if they don't already have on just to get Robbie up on stage with them at the awards to boost ratings.

Do the gallachers have one? Oasis totaly deserve one, or Damon Albarn

It won't happen but I'd like to see Deep Purple get it. Still making huge selling albums more than 30 years after atarting. Still selling out tours in large arenas.
But it won't happen

They wanted to give Kate Bush the award but she turned it down because it meant performing live. Hence the last minute decision to give it to the Spice Girls. It would explain alot

If we're moving onto the 90's, Oasis maybe?

How about the Pet Shop Boys?
Paul Heaton and Norman Cook for their work with the housemartins, the beautiful south, norman's and paul's solo work...

I'd rather see the other 4 guys without the overrated one.

There's no doubt they have made a major contribution to the music industry but after seeing their performance at the end of Live8, there's no doubt they made a major contribution to ensuring many people got their last train home.

I think Elvis Presley should win it though perhaps they should change the award to the "After Lifetime Award".

Oh and I doubt Morissey would turn up, he would, I think, take the view that this was an industry manipulated awards ceremony and not go on principle
