Tu-cth100 Turning Itv1 Analogue Off
jamestay1

for the past few days now, when i turn my TU-CTH100 pvr on i lose itv1 on my tv and dvd recorder (analogue tuners).
when i turn the pvr off itv1 comes back on.this is the only channel it affects and i've checked all cables.

is it due to the weather ?
i'm in Bradford using the Emley Moor Transmitter.

thanks

Hi
This is almost certainly due to the RF out signal from the PVR being on the same frequency as ITV1 on your transmitter. When you switch the PVR on, its RF signal is therefore interfering. Fortunately this is something that you can change!

Go to the PVR and press MENU, then select TUNING MENU and then RF OUT CHANNEL. Then alter the frequency of the channel and press OK. You may have to restart the PVR - I'm not sure. Obviously it's possible that you might retune and cause a problem with another analogue channel, so keep trying until you get one that works!

Hope that helps.

Plus if you are not using the RF signal you can off course turn it off by setting the RF out channel to 00

ITV1 from Emley Moor is on Ch 47, so you might like to check that your PVR output is actually near 47 before you start changing it.

To avoid interfering with other channels, you can find the details of channels used by Emley Moor on the DTG site here.

I'm a little worried why this has only just started, though. It's possible that Emley Moor is has been outputting reduced power for maintenance purposes, I suppose. Or alternatively atmspheric conditions in the current weather may have reduced the signal strength at your location. Also, the TUCTH100 is supposed to choose a vacant channel for its RF output. Odd.
