My experience with O2 has been excellent. I have not waited more than two minutes to speak to someone at customer services and when I have they were very helpfull and polite.
I have had no problems with the signal or text messages.
I don't understand the argument that Orange are good because they offer free broadband. That does not define good.
The phone they provided me with is not locked to O2 either so it will be in use for quite a while.
Having said all that, when I was with Orange I had no trouble from them until near the end when CS were surly and not interested in helping.
Network wise they were OK.
Virgin CS was the best I've ever used when I was with them.

Iv had no problems with orange CS atall, iv been with them a year now (in my 12th month of contract) and everytime iv contacted them they have been nice and seemed interested, I have had no problems with them, i did move before my contract to 02 briefly as a PAYG customer, and it felt a bit un-personal so i got a contract with orange, so my vote goes to orange

Actually it's the other way around with the broadband being good but Orange phone people who are crap.

I like T-Mobiles free customer service, there quick to answer!

Also there price plans are very good.. i only want to call in evenings, and they offer 500 off peak any network mins, plus 500 txts for £35... vodafone only do any time minutes dont they?

On Orange PAYG, services available include: Call Waiting/Call Barring/Fixed Number Dialing, services you'd normally only expect to see on contract. Customer services cost 25p per call (O2 = 20p per min) and are available 24/7 365 day per year (02 = Not available after 8pm). Minimum Top-up is £5.00. Also Orange allow access to your email direct to your phones email inbox, no other network allow this except maybe 3.

In terms of services Orange beat O2. Its an all together more polished network which puts O2 to shame. Having been on O2 myself for several years moving to Orange proved to be quite an eye opener. I ain't looked back since.

Signed up for the Phone +BB for £30 and explained to Orange phone CS person that I already had BB with Wanadoo/Orange and asked if I needed to cancel my BB payment and was told no we will handle that for you. Imagine what you would think when you check your account and find you are still being charged extra for your BB and on pointing this out to Orange phone CS they refused to refund the money wrongly taken from my bank.

I just got my new phone from 02 and they were fab, going through my monthly bills with me, seeing where they could save me money and give me a better monthly deal.

I was really impressed by them!

cross network is only 30p per min.

I remember before I switched to virgin I was paying 45p a min or 75p cross network.

I'm thinking of taking up this offer as I have stuck with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange for a few years now and only have an old PAYG phone registered with them at present.

It all looks tempting on paper with 8 Meg BB, umpteen texts, 300 mins of calls anytime etc as well as a new phone, so what's the catch?

I laughed at the poll results.

I work in telecoms with the Big 5 and wouldn't touch O2 with a bargepole.

Vodafone every time for me.

Just to further my reason for choosing orange, my spv m5000 last night decided to stop charging. I rang them about 7.30pm and was told that they will deliver a replacement today and that i even had the choice of the time slot the delivery took place. I dont even have insurance of my phone, compared to the problems i know someone on o2 had having to send it back etc im extremly impressed

Well, if you would have asked me last year I would have said O2, but now as I work for VF I really have to say Vodafone.....The staff price plan i'm on is unbelieveable! I'm very red, rock solid and restless!

Orange has always been the best for me, although here in Lincolnshire Voda has the best coverage. I'm currently on an O2 contract despite the crap signal as I can use my inclusive minutes to call 0870 and 0845 numbers

All o2 customer services are based in the UK.

If you write what you mean in a readable fashion i wouldn't have got confused.

T-Mobile for me, been with them for over 2 years now, no complaints.

o2 online pay as you go I think is the best service because:

I only top up £10 per month and I receive:
300 free text messages
15 free anytime minutes to any landline or o2 mobile

and I also subscribe to the o2 home 250 bolt on which gives me 250 off peak minutes to landlines and o2 mobiles for only £4.99

After all those allowances I still have £5.01 credit to use how I wish. I don't think there is any other network provider who will give you all these benefits for only £10 per month.
