Re-Negotiating your HC Contract

Been with HC for over 18 months, moved into a new property and considering alternatives OR bargaining on my HC contract. I spoke to on of their agents who said I may be eligible for certain bespoke deals – e.g. 3 months ½ price without 12 months contract. Anyone else got experience of this?

Alternatively thinking about a Be 24 + Sky Package, bit more pricey but best of both breeds to some extent.

When I moved house a year or so ago I was offered the same deal as new customers - at the time this was another 3 months at half price. Though this was subject to a new 12 month contract, which I was happy to take.

When I re-signed a new 12 month contratct after moving a telephone line, I got the new customer deal at that time. One month free or something. BTW fastest doesn't mean best, in the case of Be. Zen are the best ISP, by a mile.

It might be better keeping HC and waiting for HC's 24 meg broadband as it would most likly cost less if you have the TV and broadband with the same company. Also you will only get 1 bill

Have there been any indications when HC 24mb will be available?

Another IPTV company have launched in France, which means the chipsets are now available for the STB. They are testing the service in Ireland. Someone posted in the HDTV thread about a Autumn launch date. Other than that, anyones guess.
