whats your album you couldnt live without, im not talking about an ablum you put on when sad or happy, i mean the album that means alot to you when you listen to it, an album that puts everythign into perspective, one youll still get out in 30 years and listen and realise it hasnt aged abit and still means the same to you.

Probably the self titled first album from Suzanne Vega.

It's a fabulous album, without a single bad (or even mediocre) track on it.

Mew - And the Glass Handed Kites.

I try to take 55 minutes out of every day to listen to this album. The whole thing is a breathtaking journey through dream worlds and the fabric of the human spirit, focussing on the importance of love and holding onto what you've got. And if that doesn't float your boat, then it's still 55 minutes of blissfully enjoyable high-energy dreamy rock music. The musicianship is incredible and the production is equally good.

I sometimes find it hard to believe this album was created by humans. If there is an afterlife, this is what Heaven sounds like.

Did I mention that I like it?

(Edit: I've just noticed that it has an average customer rating of five (out of five) on Amazon.co.uk. I'd give it six if I could. )

Fear Factory's Demanufacture.

I seriously have no idea how I ever lived without it.

That is a superb album. Bought it for a couple of quid at a school fair (a fellow parent had donated a big boxful of promo albums) - couldn't believe how underrated it was.

Yep... Joni Mitchell would also be in the list

Interesting choice for the Dylan album... It might sound like a cliché but I'd go for 'Blonde on Blonde'.

As for Leonard Cohen, I have a thing for the contemporary "I'm your man"

I'll be honest - I'm not an authority on Bob Dylan and that's the only album I know in it's entirety - but I love it. The words of Black Diamond Bay and the way it scans just blow me away .
And the very first note of "Sara" never fails to make my heart leap
