Barron Knights lyrics please.
Jean Luc Picard

Does anyone know where I can get the lyrics and/or an MP3 file of the Barron Knights song Ann and Joe.

It is the mickey take of Brotherhood of Man's Angelo.

It begins, "Long ago, outside a chipshop in Walthamstow".

The song you're thinking of is "Live In Trouble" which was a top 10 hit for the BK in late 1977. It was a parody of a few songs from the charts back then, as well as Angelo I remember "Float On" by The Floaters being lampooned too

I've searched on google, no lyrics there...

All I can remember is the next line which went (I'm pretty sure):

"Lived a young trucker called greasy Joe"

Probably doesn't help very much

This is purely from memory so there will be lots of mistakes

Long ago, outside a chipshop in Walthasmstow
Stood a young couple called Ann and Joe
Chucked down his wrapper and said "lets go"

He was keen, off down the high street like Barry Sheene

Just remebered I can;t remeber the rest

Again from memory,so may be wrong...

Long ago, outside a chip shop in Walthamstow
Was a young rocker called Greasy Joe
Who put on his helmet and said 'lets go' (there is another word next but can't remeber it)

He was keen
Off up the high street like Barry Sheene
Doing his best to look very mean
Till he met Ann on her new machine

Brrummminn away together
Brrummminn away in leather
Ann and Joe

They passed the Bloody Tower
At a hundred miles an hour
And they were so amazed
That Tower Bridge was raised
They raced up to the top
And found they couldn't stop
They flew right off the end
And landed in the Thames
Hand in hand.
