This is in respect to the comments Grace and Nikki about old people coming on Big Brother, which caused a lot of controversy. However, after reading all the fuming comments here, I then switched on the live feed and what did I see? Richard and Suzie having another oh so boring long winded politically correct talk about dogs or global warming or something else that would be more suited to Question Time rather than Big Brother, than of course Richard has another moan about the younger housemates.

Do we really want to see boring old people on TV just having politically correct conversations and moaning about the younger housemates and the younger generation? Isn't Big Brother traditionally more of a young persons show? If you think back to the more entertaining Big Brothers like BB3 (what many people cite as the most entertaining BB ever), what made those shows entertaining was young people having fun, like Jade, Spencer, Alex, Jonny, Kate. It's only recently they started bringing in more older housemates who assume the 'parent' position and quite frankly have sucked the fun out of Big Brother.

Now I know this appears discriminatory, but in shows like Pop Idol we have an age limit. I'm not suggesting copying their one of 18-26. but something like 18-40 or 18-35. Now the downside to this is that it won't help Glyn lose his virginity, but the upside is we'll filter out people like Suzie, Vanessa (BB5) and Sandy.

Think it's a good idea?

All age groups watch BB, why should it only feature youngters?

That is a good point. John McCririck and Derek were good. I'm glad you've backed your opinion up, unlike the first reply.

I didn't feel the need to back up the obvious. Why should there be an artificial age limit? If someone wants to go on BB, and they're enough of a "good housemate" why stop them?

All age groups watched BB3, because it was entertaining.

I just find it hilarious that some of the housemates think over 30 is old, when they are only a few years away from that age.

We could miss out on some excellent housemates if we have an age limit.

They should have rubber tats limits – no rubber tats sized ‘comical’.

Old people? Richard is 33, for heaven's sake!

Are "old people" boring? Which old person?

Are "young people" boring? Which young person?

Lumping people into categories because of their age is ridiculous.

Watching two young people gazing into one another's eyes and kissing. Now THAT'S boring!

There should be a mental age limit of at least 25 as well as an IQ limit of at least 100

What and have a houseful of Nikki-a-likes who talk of nothing but who they fancy, who fancies them and the size of their tits? Or a houseful of Imogens in a "beauty shootout"?

We need some balance. Too many young thick bimbos as it is.

It doesnt matter what age people are - it matters about the way they act! Pete is an amazing HM heart is in the right place yet Imogen is also young and annoys my @ss off!

There should deffo be a 'no more silicone' allowed! where are all the Biker/rock guys and gals with tats n piercings etc? just to make a really nice change from the 'georgeous people'

It's probably best to have an age limit - a LOWER one..... nobody under 40!
As things stand there's too much of a risk of PR girl wannabees with fake tits or weird scottish males who seem to have gender complications getting in there.
The older the better in my opinion!

Regards,
MaddyPaulus 49.
