To trace the number you need the police to be involved.
However you can contact BT and tell them the problem, they should give you chose to refuse free for one month, them when the person calls you you use the choose to refuse service to block the caller. Last edited by BexTech : 16-06-2006 at 23:37. |

A trick we use for the reception at work is if the girls get a crank call, blow a referee type whistle down the phone to the cranker..It hasn't failed yet.

![]() I used to do that when we kept getting calls from people trying to sell us crap, even though we'd been on the TPS for years, they had a warning if they called again they would be deafened, some did call back so I'd deafen the bastard. Who cares if it may be classed as assault, they were warned. |

You more than likely won't get to find out.
They will be dealt with appropriately and that is usually enough to make them realise how stupid they have been if they have half an ounce of sense. |

You could also arrange to have your phone number not accept withheld numbers. Then the only way anyone can get thru to you is if they let their number be available for you to see. I've found this stops many nuisance calls, kids, etc.

If you want something really horrible, get hold of an audio test signal, its just a continuous beep, crank that up to full volume and its horrible. 1kHz Test Tone is particularly nasty to the old ear drums!

shes at it again, this time she ordered us a pizza... £19.50 for fks sake, we had to go to the takeaway to explain the situation, they were ok but i felt sorry for them. on a positive note she phoned again twice and this gives me confidence that when i contact the beureo then hopefuly we can trace her!
EDIT: hes a strange question, if i know a number can i find out who that person is? Last edited by The_Undertaker : 19-06-2006 at 00:04. |

try typing it in to google, they could use payphones, the police will be able to trace / deal with it.

Simple thing is ring up BT like someone already posted and get caller with held reject.
It may cost a extra £1.50 a month or so but atleast it will stop them. |

Hi, i managed to get all of our calls traced, i dont think they will listen in but the procedure is when the bich rings, hang up, pick it up and dial 1477 and then a message will read 'this call has been traced'. So bring it on BiTcH!
fingers crossed hehe

For the best whistle use the FOX whistle, its pealess and earpeircingly loud. Keep it next to the phone.
Fox whistle *edit* Just looked on the above site and they do a glow in the dark one now.....Looks like my 10year old orange one is going to be replaced....soon.
