School's Out by Alice Cooper in 1972. Still one of the greatest records ever. I think it cost about 60p.

First Single : Hong Kong Garden - Siousxie and the Banshees
First Album : Grease Soundtrack (what can I say !)
First CD : The Innocents - Erasure ( I wanted their version of 'River Deep Mountin High' which was only on the CD, so not only was it my first CD but it is the record that made me buy a CD player !)
First DVD : The Great Escape

and i still and always will love that song
That song was playing on the Saturday morning kids show Live and Kicking when I was told that my Nana had passed away the previous evening. I'm 20 and it makes me feel terrible when I hear it. It's appearance on the Greatest Hits album spoilt the entire disc, which was otherwise top banana.

The first album I bought on CD was Now 32 and it was in my CD player for ages and ages. The best Now CD they ever brough out. I think it was voted the best compilation that year as well.

I never bought my own vinyl record but the first one I was given (as a birthday pressie) was Martika's Kitchen by Martika! I was also given The Bean Song which I grew to hate with a passion and I shattered the record!

My first was another Adam and The Ants 7single :
'Kings Of The Wild Frontier'
Not long after that I got The Stranglers 'Golden Brown'.

Both records about 60p from WH Smiths.

My first record ever bought was David Soul's version of Three Times A Lady. I saved the money out of my pocket money to buy it.

The first single I bought was Snap - Rhythm Of A Dancer but I must have had CD's bought for me before that, I wasn't much into music much before that for some reason.
As for that East 17 bringing back reasong, there was a song playing when I heard my cat had died, and if I hear it now it brings the way I felt sharply back, it's like music stores a memory.
