School's Out by Alice Cooper in 1972. Still one of the greatest records ever. I think it cost about 60p.

East 17 - Stay Another Day

and i still and always will love that song
”

That song was playing on the Saturday morning kids show Live and Kicking when I was told that my Nana had passed away the previous evening. I'm 20 and it makes me feel terrible when I hear it. It's appearance on the Greatest Hits album spoilt the entire disc, which was otherwise top banana.

The first album I bought on CD was Now 32 and it was in my CD player for ages and ages. The best Now CD they ever brough out. I think it was voted the best compilation that year as well.

I never bought my own vinyl record but the first one I was given (as a birthday pressie) was Martika's Kitchen by Martika! I was also given The Bean Song which I grew to hate with a passion and I shattered the record!

Not long after that I got The Stranglers 'Golden Brown'.

My first record ever bought was David Soul's version of Three Times A Lady. I saved the money out of my pocket money to buy it.

The first single I bought was Snap - Rhythm Of A Dancer but I must have had CD's bought for me before that, I wasn't much into music much before that for some reason.
As for that East 17 bringing back reasong, there was a song playing when I heard my cat had died, and if I hear it now it brings the way I felt sharply back, it's like music stores a memory.
