Hate to say BUT "Celebrity" BB was much better than this

I've been a BB addict since it started, but I've struggled to get into this one.

Even last year the whole Anthony/Craig thing became tiresome, and Davina's interviews just get worse and worse. Even Dermot just goes through the motions now.

So much so that I think the "celebrity" version was much more entertaining. Ok they were mostyl Z list, and it's easier to pack more into 3 weeks, but it was good television.

Also this whole business with the housemates all being on previous 'dummy runs' etc really pisses me off. What is the point of dragging people to auditions when they have probably got the next few years already picked

I think if BB is to survive it needs a total re-think next year, with new presenters, and a whole new out-look. Stop going for confrontation, and add a few laughs.

I loved CBB this year. Michael Barrymore trying to be a psychiatrist to Jodie Marsh was priceless.

Sadly true. And we have 13 weeks of BB7.

Exactly, Galloway in his catsuit with Pete and his pussy galore bit with Rula were TV Gold

OH MY GOD! Celeb BB could not have been better this year, so maybe it is cruel to compare it. It was just absolutely perfect.

i have to disagree, i am as hooked on this as i have been every bb.....

Yeah I think BB really needs a revamp, it's all kinda stale this year, theres nothing really gripping the golden ticket thing was meant to be a highlight and that was a total waste of time.

the one advantage CBB has is that you're familar with a lot of the hms before you start.
I did have misgivings over the 13 weeks length of BB7. It's got to be good to sustain your interest for that long.....

Totally agree. This one is a struggle to watch.

This year's CBB was utterly riveting.

I thought the present series was doomed when in the first week we were stuck with three couples, but the couples have dispersed, and to my surprise the show has maintained my interest till now. Tonight's show, however, was particularly dreary, and so I went back to the football. It might be too early to say, but it strikes me that some fizz is missing without Grace.

Also, the tasks are markedly inferior this year.

Chantelle?

Not in my eyes... Celeb BBs 3 & 4 were pants... and I didn't bother watching 1 & 2 ... I generally find 'real' celebs a turn off

I have to agree with you there. CBB4 was one of my all time favourite Big Brother's. It had everything. It would be difficult to top it really.

I think all four Celebrity Big Brothers have been better than the Big Brothers themselves. Maybe celebrities just have bigger personalities. But theres no doubting last years one was the best. I never thought I'd see George Galloway arguing with Micheal Barrymore on tv . And Pete might not have been the nicest person, but he was hilarious. I was in stitches when he was taking the piss out of Jodie.

Can't do CBB myself.

Part of the lure of BB for me is the randomness of people I don't know and have no preconceptions about.

Absolutely. CBB4 was fantastic imo. I loved Chantelle and Preston and the whole Galloway humiliation! haha!

I think normally celeb BB is total rubbish but Jackie stallone was classin in Celeb bb3, and celeb bb4 was just a great series altogether, a good mix of characters and I was happy enough with the winner.

Nothing will ever top CBB4. It was tv gold.

Almost every HM were entertaining in their own way (with the possible exceptions of Faria and Maggot). The combination of characters was just explosive.

The fact that it only lasted for a few weeks was bonus too. Thirteen weeks is really too long, and the series can't help but run out of steam at some point.

That's the opinion of a lot of my friends as well. They like the fact that they're strangers, but they did become addicted to this year's CBB, and it was easily one of the most successful BB series ever.

Thanks - so let's stop this 'this series of BB is shit/ruined/what must they do next time' crap all over the forum. If there's no crisis then why fix it?

Everyone's so crazy about this year's CBB, but I actually preferred the Bez/McCririck/Kenzie one. The "villains" are only really fun to watch if they know that they're villainous, like Victor, which is why Galloway didn't cut it for me. If they're being nasty while assuming that viewers will all be on their side, I just want them out. This is why Sezer, for me, was a lot more watchable than the clueless Grace.

I also really hated Preston, which didn't help.

Everyone has their own perception and view on this series. I have to say it hasn't hooked me in the same way the last 2 series have, and I don't think it will now. I'll continue to watch in the hope it gets better. Atm it's only marginally better than BB4 for me.

Yep, BB it is all getting a bit too stale for my liking, how many camera shots of plasticity are we going to have to put up with, this is like watching paint dry. C'mon BB bosses, we know you have a juicy punishment lined up for Monday but will it be enough to keep us rivveted to our seats like the BB fans we WERE! Not good enough I am checking other stations for there scheduling now, getting bored BB, listen to your fans!
