I am so sick of this.

Nothing is going to change while the ratings are so high!!!!

The only way it will change is if people turn off!!!!

If you yourself arent going to turn off, then you CANT complain about the fact nothing is changing!!!!

Why'd I want to turn off? As far as I'm concerned, it's just started getting better

Unless you're a member of the BARB panel, your turning off will have not effect at all on the ratings.

Unfortunately enough people to keep C4 happy seem to want to watch Richard and his Smugs.

Suzie is the problem. She's turning it into a sunday afternoon tea party.

I know that, but it's a simple fact of commercial broadcasting that they will not fix what doesnt need it, so BB will continue as it is forever unless people turn off.

Now, if no-one is willing to turn off, then they dont have the right to moan about it!

It's like not bothering to vote in an election and then kicking up a fuss because the other party got in.

Well the only bright spot of Monday was the nominations twist and then Nikki turning on the waterworks AGAIN about either being nominated or the AC

What could have been a good evening was spoilt when they went to bed early AGAIN

When are BB ever going to give them a decent party and some decent booze and/or an overnight task

I don't like the nomination twists EVERY week FGS. The best day of the week for me is nominations day when they get to say their piece in the diary room. We've been robbed again

If they don't watch it, how do they know whether it deserves a moan or not?

What's supposed to be the problem there?

BBBM is faked out. The audience are a bunch of Endemol stooges who wear different clothes and sit in different places each show to pretend it’s a real audience, and the phone calls and displayed texts are 100% fake.

The highlights shows are cack on a stick.

The whole thing is complete garbage.”

I'm sure there will be people saying "if you don't like it, don't watch it", but I'm not one of them. That really p*sses me off, to be honest. I agree with you on every point, yet I keep watching in the vain hope that it'll get better. It never does.

Such a shame. They had a great concept and they ruined it by putting fame-hungry 'promotions' people in there, who all knew each other and all had experience of the BB house. The whole thing is fake and as you say...cack on a stick.

So why am I still addicted?

I agree - it's boring.
Which is why I spend far too much time lurking on these boards which are far more interesting and insightful.

Morning everyone.

Yep! You're so right.

I enjoyed BB1 and BB2 and loved BB3, but I think this series, so far, has been pretty crap overall. As networkbabe said in her post, there are no great characters. Nikki is the only saving grace atm and she can't carry the show for another 2 months. I'm disappointed tbh. I've really enjoyed the past 2 series, and what has been served up this time around has been a real disappointment. I enjoyed BB4 more than this.

Totally agree.

Even my wife (who will watch anything) said last night that she'll give it one more chance (tonight) and then she's quitting.

One of her best friends works on the show, so it'll be interesting when the show ends to find out if people at Endimol are/were happy with the selection, or if they realised at the start that a terrible mistake had been made.

It so contrived that ‘Prisoner Cell Block H’ seems more real.

Glyn appears to have adopted a half-Jade-half-Cameron persona with his ludicrously unbelievable ignorance at opening a tin can and his parochial folksy (crypto-fascist) outlook on life. The BB story line for him is some ‘boy-to-man’ guff that is being rammed down the viewers’ throats with a big stick.

Lea has the ‘tart with a heart’ role with a bit of ‘Craig’ style sex-pest stalking thrown in for interest. She is clearly on the show as an extended audition for the hard-core porn industry (and indeed admits those huge bags of rubber in her chest were implanted for porn work). The BB story line for her is some kind of ‘acceptance’ trip for her freaky looks, but in reality she is as hard as nails.

Lisa is the professional northerner of caricature proportions. No real storyline here – just act aggressive and swear her head off in some sort of George Formby accent from 60 years ago. I think the BB story line was supposed to be her and Pete as the ‘odd couple’, but he told the producers he could not carry it on as she stank of fags. She is supernumerary now so they will get rid as soon as possible.

Nikki seems to be a new character type in the BB mix. She has a pre-pubescent body (apart from the rubber jugs) and infantile behaviour (clearly one for the men-in-macks). The BB storyline for her seems to be one of ‘growing up’ and maturing. I pretty sure some of her monologues are scripted but she is quite a good actress it’s not complete nauseating ham.

Aisleyne has the ‘scrubber made good’ role. Her ‘accidental’ muff flashing and jug shots are clearly put in to up the soft porn quota for the show. Orlaith perfected the crutch shot in BB6 and I think Aisleyne was brought into BB7 because she is willing to do it with no knickers. Her ‘Victor’ style Diary Room chats (obviously rehearsed in a mirror at home) are a complete flop, and I reckon the producers will tell her to stick to flashing her ‘bits’ and stop trying to be clever.

Imogen seems to have been put in as attractive filler. No real storyline here – just something to drool over for the lads. However, most of the others disgust her, so she seems to have adopted a ‘viewer in the house’ role. The producers now seem desperate to get rid of her - she is always disadvantaged for nominations and accused of cheating on flimsy evidence.

Mikey is the Ant Hutton of BB7 - just an attractive plank for the ladies. He seems to speak in ‘tongues’ and is just an animated catalogue model.

Pete is the main ‘acceptance’ story of the show (for his disability) and the chosen winner. He has had 5 years in the Endemol fold to perfect his ‘gentle Jesus’ routines, and has clearly been trained by a professional psychologist in his ‘counselling’ methods with the others. His ability to turn his Tourette's on and off, like a tap, and his hammy acting out, stinks of Andy (out of the Andy and Lou sketches from ‘Little Britain’). Even if he exposes his true creepy and dangerous nature, I think they will edit it out to make sure he wins at all costs.

Richard is the token gay. A dumbed down version of Jack McFarland out ‘Will and Grace’. I don’t think the BB storyline wanted him to be a sadistic bully – I expect they just wanted comical gayness and cutting one-liners, and it seems the producers have had a word with him as he now acts ‘gayer’ every day and has suppressed his bullying tendencies.

Susie seems to be an experiment gone wrong. I have no idea what she is supposed to be and what role she has. Her ‘Eliza Dolittle’ accent and demeanour hardly detract from the fact she is an old stank ho.

Anyway – it’s a right load of contrived rubbish.

Well, I like it. And to me, that's all that matters

You're always going to have dull days and exciting days, people. I know people have been arguing that it's like earlier BBs or whatever, but actually more goes on in the BB7 house in a day than what went on in the BB3 house in a week, probably. You've just been spoiled by "dramatic" BBs like BB5 and BB6. I'm glad it's a bit less in-your-face this year. And it will never be BB4, so why keep dragging it up?

It's not boring in my opinions, ratings are up and you're always going to have duff days in a 24/7 monitored house, OK?

I'm just wondering if the show will be able to keep viewers, as it seems so many of us are not enjoying it. I've just asked around the office actually and without exception people say it isn't as good as the last couple of years or earlier series. I'll continue to watch, but that's only because I'm a BB addict. As the World Cup progresses and other distractions come along like CLI and Wimbledon will BB be able to maitain it's audience share?

ftw774 - I dunno, but it is doing very well at the moment. As I say, I'm not going on straw polls but on ratings figures generally and I think this BB may have enticed back more casual viewers who watched BB in the days of BB2 and BB3, but who were rather put off by the OTT-ness of BB5 and BB6. Just a thought, and I don't suppose it can be proven.

I've watched since the first series, and I've enjoyed each series for very different reasons. Even BB4 to an extent
Maybe a new audience has been attracted to this BB, but some of the old audience aren't happy at all.
