this year has been a shark-tank and the likes of Sam should not have been tossed in there.

You're not kidding, weird how people latch on to any form of 'celebrity', quite sad really.

Yup. I can't stand the word 'fans' anyway. In my view (which I grant may not be everyone else's) only people with serious talent could be said to have real 'fans' and even then, it just lumps people who appreciate that talent into a category of person, stripping them of any individuality they may have. Having said that, I struggle to find a better word for 'people who have watched Big Brother and quite liked Sam'. But 'fans' definitely doesn't cut it.

I like Pete. A hell of a lot. But I wouldn't describe myself as a fan.

So when an ex-housemate uses the term 'my fans', I find that a real turn-off. If I had been an 'appreciator' before, the use of the 'fan' word to refer to me and others who hold similar opinions as me, would wipe all my appreciation away.

although everyone is entitled to their opinions

As 'fan' is short for 'fanatic' it may be a bit strong for most FM, but in times of crisis for an HM, some people do adopt quite fanatically polarised stances.

I'm not a 'fan' of any HM this year. I like what I see of some more than others and definitely found the Sezer-Grace Axis as attractive as that of Germany-Italy in 1939.

Sam would be better off sorting out his many issues and getting on with life like the rest of us to be honest.

Has anyone congratulated Sam on his impending fatherhood, then? I think here are a huge number of issues for him to sort out before worrying about the media or anything else. I didn't dislike Sam in the house, but I did find him creepy, and if he has slept with women only a short time before entering the house, Nikki was quite right to find it embarrassing to be shadowed by him all the time as if he was "one of the girls". Clearly he doesn't yet know what he wants to be.
